Black folks, let’s talk. The white people are going to war.

So I like to post informative articles about stuff in my social media. Well, in Facebook. Articles make no sense on Instagram and barely on Twitter.

I’ve been posting about the neo-nazis in the Ukrainian military and nationalism, among other things like solar maximum, unknown Neanderthal cousins and LSD therapy. I usually get commentary, but around the Neo-Nazis nada. Zip. Nothing.

And it’s not that I don’t empathize, or wish war on anyone of any background, but civil rights take a knee in the back row behind a European ground war and the return of grand, geopolitical stratagem regarding the conquest of Eurasia.

And the Russians. They have been holding a black American basketball player now for weeks for air travel with a hash vape pen. It’s an aside and that’s fine, she should have known better. She’s got shine but that was a rookie mistake.

Black folks, we out here embarrassing ourselves. White folks started identity politics back after Bacon’s Rebellion, when there were no white folks and black folks, but we made identity a freedom thing, claiming that appellation they began calling us to wipe out history and taking it to such an extreme expression of love and unity that now all the kids, no matter their color, use it as a sign of belonging and solidarity.

Now, identity has fractured even further. There’s African Americans and black Americans and y’all know the difference. Or do you? I’m not sure. I mean, I prefer black American because I’m…
